Women’s Ministry is committed to weaving principles of biblical womanhood into our daily lives and watching their effect on the church and community that God might be glorified.
Women’s Summer Bible Study & Book Club
Please register by May 12 at the Women's Ministry table in the foyer or in the church office for any of the following-
Six-Week Bible Study - Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. - June 4 to July 9 - Studying "Idol Lies" by Dee Brestin ($12) - At the home of Rhonda Brase - Facilitator will be Janey Richmann - Addresses the idolatry in our lives
Book Club on June 13 - Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the home of Jan Stern - Book "A Praying Life" by Paul Miller ($10) - Facilitator will be Kate Sunday - This is as fine a book on prayer as you will ever read.
Book Club on August 1 - Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the home of Jan Stern - Book "In The Land Of Blue Burqas" by Kate McCord ($10) - Facilitator will be Toni Huff - A true first-person account of a brave American woman who moved to Afghanistan to start a relief organization for women.
All books are available to purchase at the church.
Prayer
Ladies Prayer Hour - To pray and be disciplined in prayer as we lift up the needs of NCBC. Meets as a group in the church library every Tuesday morning from 9:00-10:00.
Prayer Partners - This phone ministry partners women together for prayer once a week; interceding for the needs of our church family.
Hospital Visitation - Women visiting, encouraging and praying for other women during their hospital stay.
Discipleship/Mentoring
Godly women “older in the faith” are available to come along-side those who desire a discipleship / mentoring relationship as described in the Titus 2:3-5 model.
Ministries / Events
Meals Ministry - Provides meals for those who through sickness or arrival of a new baby need help in this practical way. Online sign-ups available through “Take-Them-a-Meal.”
Weddings - Includes planning with the bride and groom, wedding coordinator, setup, implementing, and take down of all the activities of the wedding day.
Shower Ministry - All the women of the church can participate in this ministry of fellowship, edification, and providing real household needs of either a bride or a first-time mother. Watch the church bulletin for shower dates.
Domestic Help - This ministry reaches out to women who, due to a recovering illness or surgery cannot perform their usual household tasks on their own. Includes help in grocery shopping, cleaning, laundry, and errands.
